Black River Falls is a diverse park with a harbor, ramp, hiking trails, large open park, beach and camping close by. Located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan just a few miles north of Bessemer Michigan.
The park offers amenities for everyone. The large secluded beach and a large grass area to picnic are perfect for families. For the boater or fisherman there is access to the Black River and Lake Michigan. The Nature lovers, hikers and fitness enthusiast will love the rugged natural trails.
Little Sand Beach is a small state park along the Lake Superior Shore, near the Apostle Islands, just north of Bayfield Wisconsin. This small park offers camping, a nice sandy beach, kayak launch, and a boat ramp onto Lake Superior. Sand Island is a mile or so paddle across Lake Superior.
It’s Fall Fest Time on Madeline Island!
Take a colorful, scenic excursion to Madeline Island for the 10th Annual Madeline Island Fall Festival on Saturday, October 20th. Along with the natural beauty of the Apostle Islands, enjoy a day of family fun activities and events.
Baystock is a unique small music festival that hosts some spectacular individuals and groups over four days in a remote camp in Bayfield County. The festival was started 33 years ago by a few friends who just wanted to get together and enjoy some music. For the first few years Baystock was held in the back yard of one of the founders. In 1993 a plot of land was purchased in rural Bayfield County to host the event.
For five years now Koller Park in downtown Manitowish Waters has been the home to Music in the Park. This weekly event is held every Sunday throughout the summer from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. They are proud to host a wide variety of musical styles, while trying to provide entertainment that will be enjoyable to everyone. The styles include country, rock, folk, and even a polka band.
Just in time for the peak of the fall colors we decided to check out Copper Peak. Located just north of Ironwood, Michigan, Copper Peak Adventure Ride is one of the best places to view the fall colors.
Cornucopia is a quaint harbor town in the northern most part of Wisconsin. They proudly boast the northern most post office in Wisconsin. This small town is located about 20 miles north of Bayfield Wisconsin.
